Senior School

In the Senior School, our students begin their VCE pathways journey and are encouraged to achieve their personal best.

This journey begins in year 10 with our Careers Fast Track program, which assists students to gain an improved self awareness and identify and explore suitable career options, followed by a week of work experience.

In Year 11 the final phase of our students’ schooling begins. VCE is the culmination of a student’s secondary education and is a stepping stone to the future. Our Senior School students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of school experiences and activities.

As part of the transition to tertiary education, senior students visit a range of tertiary institutions and the College hosts guest speakers from a variety of course providers.

Senior School leadership committees are now an integral part of the Senior School and allow senior students from years 10-12  to take on a number of leadership positions within the college. These committees, along with all VCE students, set the tone for the college and provide a model to the school community.

Our Year 12 students will end their time at Brighton Secondary College with the knowledge that they are prepared for the many and varied opportunities that life has to offer.

BSC A Capella group 'Minitonic'
Minitonic performed at the Inner South East Partnerships Assembly for the Department of Planning and Development in August. They performed with so much professionalism and poise, and as a result, have been invited by the Mayor to perform at the next Citizenship Ceremony in October.  This is a huge honor and we are very proud of the group and their voice teacher Ms Bradsworth!
