Discovery Centre
Year 9 students have their own specialised Discovery Centre at Brighton Secondary College.
The modern, purpose-built facility is “home” for the mainstream year 9 students. It has two common learning areas where students work in larger groups for English and Maths.
The unique roaming-teacher approach means there is no typical ‘back’ or ‘front’ of the classroom. This keeps students engaged and allows teachers to focus on individuals.
The facility has ICT (computer technology) embedded throughout it to support rich learning tasks that go across traditional learning area boundaries and link to global issues around the world.
BSC A Capella group 'Minitonic'
Minitonic performed at the Inner South East Partnerships Assembly for the Department of Planning and Development in August. They performed with so much professionalism and poise, and as a result, have been invited by the Mayor to perform at the next Citizenship Ceremony in October.  This is a huge honor and we are very proud of the group and their voice teacher Ms Bradsworth!
