Brighton Secondary College offers a comprehensive co-curricular program in which all students are encouraged to participate.

Debating, our Annual College Production, Leadership opportunities, and the World Challenge expedition program are among the opportunities on offer at our College.

House System
Brighton Secondary College has a strong house system which was established over 50 years ago. All students are divided into four houses – Phillip (green), Murray (red), Grant (purple) and Lonsdale (yellow).

Students compete in a range of inter-house games and festivals including the House Choral Festival, House Swimming Carnival, House Athletics and Cross Country.

Performing Arts
The Performing Arts are thriving at Brighton Secondary College. Participation in music bands and school productions has grown tremendously in recent years.

The annual Production offers students the chance to perform either on stage or in the band, work in a technical role backstage, write scripts or produce and direct. Our Performing Arts Centre was updated with new glass windows, allowing more natural light into this space. Our Performing Arts Centre is often used for College functions like the innovative student run event Sustain-a-ball, Open Night presentations, as well as Fundraisers.

Brighton Secondary College is renowned for its sporting tradition. BSC students achieve outstanding results at district, zone and state level sporting competitions.

A range of inter-school competitions is offered to our students. These include cricket, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, golf, lawn bowls, badminton, football, netball, soccer, basketball, hockey, table tennis, squash, swimming, athletics and cross-country. Students play both on and off campus. We have a large gymnasium and sports oval, with separate gym all available for use.

BSC A Capella group 'Minitonic'
Minitonic performed at the Inner South East Partnerships Assembly for the Department of Planning and Development in August. They performed with so much professionalism and poise, and as a result, have been invited by the Mayor to perform at the next Citizenship Ceremony in October.  This is a huge honor and we are very proud of the group and their voice teacher Ms Bradsworth!
